Nick Drake – Poor boy (gairebé 30 anys després)

Un 25 de novembre de 1974 el cantautor Nick Drake es treia la vida amb una sobredosis de somnífers o d’antidepressius. Els motius de la mort, Drake se’ls va endur amb ell. Potser la raó es trobi en els tres discos que va enllaçar del 1969 al 1972, “Five Leaves Left”, “Bryter Layter” i “Pink Moon”, que el van convertir en un cantautor estrella de l’època, una mena de Leonard Cohen a l’anglesa. En un cas com aquest, sempre queda el pes d’un reconeixement que potser Drake no volia, la pressió afegida d’un disc més, millor que l’anterior, les exigències de la vida moderna i de l’actualitat. El fet és que va decidir que ja en tenia prou i va guillar amb la seva musica a una altra banda.
